Every public repository leaves a trace. GitStrata gathers those traces into a rare mineral specimen: a visual record of what you built, when your work changed, and the languages you returned to.
A mineral signature
Programming languages become luminous minerals. Their relative weights, estimated from repository languages and public engagement, shape the color blend. Repository identity and activity produce a repeatable seed, so the same analyzed history returns the same specimen.
A formation through time
Repository creation dates and language changes define development eras. Selecting an era isolates its mineral palette. Stars and recent activity affect the light; repository volume affects scale; collaboration signals influence how colors branch through the stone.
The repositories inside
Significant public repositories become inspectable fossils. Each includes its original metadata and the reason it was selected. The archetype describes patterns in the public record, never intelligence, seniority, or employability.
Art, grounded in data
Each public record generates its own silhouette, fracture network, mineral placement, and crystal details. An art-directed rock texture is reprojected into that unique geometry, then lit in the browser. It is an artistic interpretation of public metadata, not a literal measurement of contributions or a scan of source code.
